About the Opportunity

Atlas NextWave is looking for skilled Offshore Rig Electricians ready for contract assignments on drilling rigs and platforms. You'll be responsible for keeping critical electrical systems running safely and efficiently in the offshore environment-supporting day-to-day operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting while working as part of a tight-knit crew.

This is contract work with the potential for rotational schedules.

What You'll Do

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including power generation, distribution, motors, switchgear, MCCs, UPS, and control systems
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance in line with OEM standards and site procedures
• Diagnose faults, perform root-cause analysis, and restore equipment to service
• Work safely in hazardous areas and strictly follow permit-to-work, LOTO, and HSE requirements
• Keep accurate records, logs, and documentation
• Collaborate with the offshore team to support operations and respond to breakdowns
• Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement efforts

What You Need

• Must reside in the United States
• Valid U.S. passport
• Current BOSIET with CA-EBS
• Current RigPass or SafeGulf
• Valid TWIC
• Current OEUK medical certificate
• Ability to pass and maintain a clear drug screen
• Proven offshore experience as a Rig Electrician (or equivalent role on rigs/platforms)
• Strong knowledge of offshore electrical systems and safe work practices

Preferred

• COMPEX certification
• Formal electrical apprenticeship, journeyman license, or equivalent trade qualification
• Experience with high-voltage systems, VFDs, and package electrical equipment common on drilling rigs
• Additional relevant certifications (H2S, Working at Heights, Confined Space, etc.)
